A thread lift repositions descended tissue mechanically. Absorbable threads are placed along a planned vector and drawn upward; as they dissolve over the following months they stimulate collagen along the thread path, so part of the effect persists after the material itself is gone. It suits descent that energy-based lifting alone cannot pull far enough.

How long does a thread lift last?

Most patients see the lift maintained for roughly 12 to 18 months. The threads themselves dissolve within months; what remains is the collagen response along the thread path.

Is there downtime?

Minimal. Mild swelling or tenderness for a few days is normal and most patients return to ordinary activity the same day. Wide mouth opening and dental work are avoided for two weeks.

Will the threads be visible or palpable?

Placed correctly at the right depth they are neither visible nor palpable once swelling settles. Insertion depth is what determines this.
